IMD Workshop with the Boston Ranked Choice Summer Youth Internship Program

Earlier this week, IMD co-founders Prof. Ismar Volić and Prof. Stanley Chang visited the Ranked Choice Boston Youth Summer Internship Program to speak with youth advocates. Through an interactive workshop about math and politics in the Boston City Council, Volić and Chang emphasized the importance of political quantitative literacy and engaged an inspiring group of young people involved in local campaigning. RCV Boston brings Boston citizens together to promote more equitable election outcomes, and the coalition is currently kicking off their campaign to implement RCV on Boston’s municipal ballots. IMD is excited to continue collaborating with this local effort to create a more equitable electoral process.
