Wellesley College summer research program in mathematics and politics
In summer 2020, Wellesley College professors Stanley Chang and Ismar Volić will run a six-week summer research program in mathematics and politics. The students will first be briefly introduced to several topics in mathematics and politics, including voting and apportionment, and will then be divided into groups to work on projects such as voting and representation theory, comparative power index studies, and data analysis of the 2018 midterm elections.
This program is generously supported by the Wellesley College Science Center Summer Research Program and the Brachman-Hoffman Fellowship.
