Special Issue of the Journal of Humanistic Mathematics co-edited by an IMD affiliate
IMD affiliate and University of Michigan – Dearborn Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Tian An Wong, is an editor for a special issue of the Journal of Humanistic Mathematics, an open-access, online publication by the Claremont Colleges Library. For the special issue titled Mathematics and Society, the editors are looking for submissions on mathematical approaches to problems of society, in particular, social inequity and social justice. Potential submissions include but are not limited to quantitative and qualitative research, expository writing, and mathematics pedagogy. Through this special issue, the editors hope to highlight both the work that is being done across the various disciplines and the new areas of research that are yet unexplored but also urgent. Initial submissions are due August 15, 2022, with the issue set to appear in July 2023.
