One Week Left to Apply for Mathematics for Humanity Workshop in Edinburgh, Scotland

There is only one week left to apply for the Mathematics for Humanity Workshop on “Mathematics of Voting and Representation” at the International Centre for Mathematical Science, co-organized by IMD! This workshop will take place from June 10-14th, 2024 at the Edinburgh Futures Institute in Edinburgh, Scotland.

This workshop will bring together researchers in computer science, economics, mathematics, and political science to share their work on topics such as voting, social choice, representation, and districting.

Among the scientific organizers are two IMD affiliates–Dr. Jeanne Clelland from University of Colorado Boulder and Dr. David McCune from William Jewell College. IMD Co-Founder Dr. Ismar Volić is also on the organizing team. Speakers include a number of IMD affiliates, from Dr. Moon Duchin at Tufts University to Dr. Eric Maskin of Harvard University.
